Friday 27th March 2009. Happy Birthday Patrick. Last day of work for Chris. The plan was to leave after my farewell lunch - silly idea! The lunch took longer than we expected and then trying to do my handover was a nightmare as everyone was so busy. Eventually managed it, then set off to get train home! First problem, no buses and road works in Fulham Road - again! Second problem usual train was cancelled because the doors stopped working, with the new timetable it means a 3/4 hour wait for the next train - or travel to East Croydon to catch the London Bridge train - which is always very busy anyway. So instead of getting home early I was nearly an hour late! Oh well!
Saturday 28th March 2009. Went shopping - after all we have to eat this week! Finished the ironing and started sorting out clothes. Tony says it is just like Christmas - when there is all that food in the house and we are not allowed to eat it! Except now it is clothes he is not allowed to wear!
Sunday 29th March 2009. Got up early to watch the Australian Grand Prix. More interested in what they showed us of Melbourne, just think in a months time we will be in the city and we will be able to look at Albert Park for ourselves!
Back to packing!
